How to Visit Hawaii on a Budget by Oliver Tani
Your vacation to the Hawaiian Islands should be relaxing from start to finish. This includes finding the best deals, because let’s face it, you don’t want to be thinking about how big of a hit your bank account just took or how much you just put on your credit card when you’re living it up in Paradise. The great thing about Hawaii is that the best things to do when you’re there are free! Let’s explore some options into enjoying our 50th state at a great price!
Getting There - This is generally going to be the most expensive part, but there are always deals that you can find to help cut down on costs. First off, you should be flexible with your dates as the weather in Hawaii is always nice. There are no particular times of the year where it would be too hot or too cold. Even if it’s in the low 90’s and a bit humid, there’s always that cool ocean breeze. Also, keep in mind that if you buy your airline tickets at least a few months in advance, you’re going to save a lot of money versus waiting a couple of weeks before vacation time. However, if you do wait until the last minute or tend to be a “spur of the moment” type of person, most airlines have “last minute” deals on tickets. This is more often than not going to be some sort of weekend special, so if you happen to find something, jump on it. As an added bonus, you could even play it off as a total surprise for a loved one!
Where to Stay - The majority of the hotels in Hawaii, especially in Waikiki are going to be a bit expensive, though not all. There are some hotels which don’t have the big hotel “brand name” that are just as nice. The fact of the matter is, if you’re spending all your time in a hotel in Hawaii, then you’re not seeing Hawaii for all its glory. Rather than spending a lot of money on a fancy hotel room, find a deal for inexpensive lodging on one of the many classified sites, so you can spend all your time and money traveling the beautiful island instead.
Things to Do - When you think of Hawaii, most people think of the beach. That’s where I spend most of my time when I’m there as it’s not only free, but is also relaxing and fun! Go down to Hanauma Bay and go snorkeling, kick back on the sand of Waikiki beach and get a nice tan. If shopping is your thing, you can always find great deals on Hawaiian trinkets and souvenirs at the International Marketplace in Waikiki.
Where to Eat - If you’re looking for a great place to eat, you don’t have to go very far. Ask a local to point you in the direction of Rainbow Drive Inn or an L&L nearby so you can not only experience the land of Aloha, but the cuisine as well! Another idea is to buy some sandwiches and drinks and put together your own picnic to take with you to the beach. That’s one more romantic idea you can call your own!
Getting Around - Rent a moped scooter. These are a lot of fun and will get you everywhere you want to be for usually less than $20/day. The other alternative is Hawaii’s bus system. They have one of the most organized and easy to navigate bus routes in the country and are very tourist friendly.
When it comes down to it, it’s pretty simple. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to visit Hawaii, no matter what kind of budget you’re working with. If you get lost, just ask someone. The people in Hawaii are known for their hospitality, otherwise known as the Spirit of Aloha! Enjoy your travels!

Tips for Business Travel to Hawaii by Jim Dornfeld
Business travel to Hawaii is a great opportunity to take advantage of your surroundings while the company foots the bill. In between your business meetings and presentations, you can soak up the rays and see a few sights- if you can keep on schedule and keep to your work schedule.
Business travel to Hawaii can be made easier with a few tips to save you time and money so you can work in a few hours of R&R.
Tips for Business Travel to Hawaii
If you are traveling to Hawaii from outside of the United States, keeping extra copies of your passport on hand will speed up your trip through customs. Once the customs agent verifies that the copy matches your original passport, you are waved through without waiting for the agent to make his own copy. Keep your passport, tickets and receipts in the same place.
Carry your laptop with you. If needed, your wireless laptop can access the airport’s WI-FI network to make last minute flight changes, locate a hotel room or secure a rental car. This can save you from standing in line to make changes should your flight be delayed or canceled. Bring along your laptop’s charger so you plug in while waiting for your fight.
Arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before your scheduled flight. Airport security is tight and may cause delays in boarding. If you are one of the first passengers boarding the plane, you are less likely to be bumped from an overbooked flight.
Re-book your seats and print out the confirmation to verify your seat purchase. This can help straighten out any confusion over the airline’s flawed booking system and get your boarded faster.
You can request a specific seat upon check-in. You can request for a seat near the exit or bathroom or far away from the noisy galley and heavily traveled path to the restrooms allows you to work during the flight without needless distractions.
Plan your travel route from the airport to your destination before leaving home and get an approximate estimate of the cost of the cab fare. Keep this cash handy and make sure the cab driver does not give you the scenic tour.
Pack for only half of the days you will be staying in Hawaii and take advantage of the hotel’s laundry service.
Roll up your socks and place them inside your shoes to increase the room on your luggage and keep your shoes from crushing blows by baggage handlers.
Call your hotel before packing and inquire what items the hotel provides. Most hotels provide a hair dryer, iron, and coffee maker in the room.
Keep in mind that Hawaii weather is very mild, but November is the rainy season. Pack your swimsuit, a rain jacket, umbrella, and dress for warm weather.
These tips for business travel to Hawaii will help your trip go smoothly and free up a few extra moments to experience the Hawaiian culture and scenery during your trip.

If that is the case, you may want to take steps to ensure that you always get to enjoy those beaches. Online travel websites are websites that connect internet users with vacation packages, vacation deals, and vacation reservations. If you are interested in using an online travel website to book a stay at a Hawaiian beach rental, you may want to think about using a Hawaii travel website. Hawaii travel websites are websites that tends to only a focus on Hawaii vacations and vacation reservations. Although it is not guaranteed, you will likely have better results, when searching for Hawaiian beach rentals, when using a Hawaii travel website, instead of a generalized one.
As previously mentioned, online travel websites are considered to the easiest way to go about booking your own vacation reservations. One of the reasons for that is because of their setup. Online travel websites will allow you to browse through their selection of overnight accommodations, car rentals, airline tickets, and much more. In addition to being able to browse through vacation accommodations and arrangements, you should also be able to search for them. This search feature works out great if you are looking for something in particular, say a Hawaiian beach rental with four bedrooms. What is also nice about online travel websites is that you are almost always given discounts, sometimes large and sometimes small.
As nice as it is to plan your own vacation and make your vacation reservations, you may want not to or you may not have the time to do so. If this is the case, you may want to seek the assistance of a professional travel agent. A profession travel agent will be able to help you book a stay at a Hawaiian beach rental, as well as make your other vacation reservations. What is nice about professional travel agents is that they are experienced at what they do. This experience not only results in better customer service, but it can also result in discounted prices. This is because many professional travel agents know just where to look to get the best deals.
If you would like to have a professional travel agent assist you with booking your next Hawaii vacation, including your Hawaiian beach vacation rental, you will need to find one. If you would like to deal with a travel agent locally, you can find numerous travel agents in your phone book. For the best results, you are advised to look in your phone book’s business directory, under the heading of travel agents. If you don’t mind not meeting face to face with your travel agent, you can also find travel agents online. These travel agents, which are often referred to as online travel agents, can easily be found with a standard internet search.
In addition to using a professional travel agent or an online travel website, you can also book your Hawaiian beach rental reservations directly, often with the rental owner. Although this method is doable, you will likely see that it is the most time consuming. If you are looking to save yourself time and money, you may want to stick with a travel agent or an online travel website.

Finding Low-Cost Trips To Hawaii by Megan Stansfield
Are you interested in taking a Hawaii trip? If so, do you know how much you should have to pay for that trip? Unfortunately, a large number of individuals try and answer that question. Of course, you could probably generate an estimate, but you are advised against doing so, especially if you have yet to start making your Hawaii vacation reservations. If you have yet to make your reservations, you are advised to take everything that you know or may assume about the cost of a Hawaii vacation and throw it right out the window. Instead of searching for what you believe to be a good deal, you are advised to search for the lowest costing deal. One of the reasons why you are advised to search for low-cost Hawaii trips is because they are out there; they do exist. Unfortunately, there are some individuals who just don’t try hard enough to find them. These individuals are likely the ones who thought that they knew how much a Hawaii trip should cost. Many times, what happens is that vacationers find what they believe to be a good deal and they snatch it up. Of course, there is always a chance that it really was a good deal, but, without looking any further, you never really know. That is why you are advised to get it in your mind that low-cost Hawaii trips do exist and that you can find them.
If you are interested in finding low-cost Hawaii trips, you are advised to use the internet. Although your first impulse may be to use the services of a professional travel agent, you will, almost always, have better luck with the internet. This is because online you can find an unlimited number of online travel websites. These online travel websites specialize in selling vacation reservations and vacation packages to travelers. Since you are interested in planning a Hawaii trip, it is advised that you turn to a Hawaiian travel website. These websites are like all other online travel websites, except for the fact that they have a focus on Hawaii, including all of the popular Hawaiian Islands.
If and when you decide to use a Hawaiian travel website, to find low-cost Hawaii trips, you will need to start searching for what you will need. For instance, if you would like to stay in a vacation home, you will want to tailor your search to vacation homes and so on. What is nice about most Hawaiian travel websites is that many not only allow you to pick which Hawaiian Island you would like to visit, but many also allow you to set a price range for yourself. If you do choose to use the price range feature, you are advised to start as low as you can go. As mentioned above, it is important to seek out the lowest costing Hawaii vacation deals, not necessarily the ones that you think are the good deals. If your low price search does not return any results, you can continue to up your price range until you find something that meets your expectations.
Another mistake that many vacationers make, when booking a trip to Hawaii, is thinking that they need to book all of their reservations separately. While you may be able to find great deals by purchasing your airline tickets, hotel reservations, and car rental separately, you may also be able to find great deals by purchasing them all together. You can do this with a Hawaii vacation package. It, honestly, all depends on what you need while on vacation. Regardless of what you want or need to get out of your vacation, it may be a good idea to just take a few minutes and examine Hawaii vacation packages. Since your goal is to find a low-cost Hawaii trip, you are advised to give it a shot; you really have nothing to lose.
Whether you examine booking all of your Hawaii trip reservations separately or with the purchase of a vacation package, it might be best to record all of your findings. By writing down all of the offers that you are given, you could easily compare those offers and find the lowest costing Hawaii trip around. Taking a few extra minutes to do this may very well save you hundreds of dollars or more.

Traveling To Hawaii By Air by Dana Goldberg
Hawaii is one of the most popular tourist destinations in America. With its beautiful beaches, friendly restaurants and unique aquatic life, the Hawaiian Islands attract scuba divers, tourists, and some people who even consider living there. Although Hawaii attracts many people, it still maintains its natural beauty. There are so many tourist spots in Hawaii. Popular spots include; Pearl Harbor, the active volcanoes, and the beautiful beaches. Most of the visitors that travel to Hawaii arrive by air, this is because you can’t drive to go there and cruises take a long time. The major airlines that travels to Hawaii are: United Airlines, Air Canada, Aloha Airlines and Island Air, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Japan Airlines, Northwest Airlines and Quantas Airways. There are also limited or no ferry services between the islands, so if you plan on visiting more than one island you should consider flying to each of them.
This leaves you a lot of choices of airlines that appeal to you. Since Hawaii is a major tourist destination, you should expect international airports to be crowded and long lines in airports the whole year round.
The two major airlines that offer island hopping services are Aloha and Hawaiian Airlines. These airlines usually offer cheap tickets and tour packages that allow you to visit some or all of the major islands. You can also book your ticket with a travel agent, however, when you’re already in Hawaii, you can get airline tickets from their local 7-Eleven stores and even from ATM’s.
Aloha Airlines offer packages like the Seven-Day Island Pass. This travel package provides you unlimited air travel for seven days. This package is designed to allow visitors to go visit some or all the islands in a limited period of time. This means that during the seven-day trip, visitors who purchased this package can book any number of reservations to all the destinations offered by Aloha Airlines and its sister company, Island Air.
Here are some tips when you travel to Hawaii:
Planning your Trip
* Book early to get the best deal available. You can either call the airline or book online. * Booking early also means you can get the best seats possible. * If possible, fly on weekdays to get cheap tickets. * If you have enough frequent flier miles, use them when going to Hawaii to save you a lot of money. You can also use this for inter-island flights.
There are six major islands in Hawaii (Big Island, Kauai, Lanai, Maui, Oahu, and Molokai). You should choose which island you will enjoy most visiting.
The Big Island
This island is the largest of all the Hawaiian Islands. Aside from the beautiful beaches, the big island offers a wide variety of tourist attractions:

Oahu The state capitol and the biggest city in Hawaii is located in this island.
* Waimea Falls * Polynesian Cultural Center * Banzai Pipeline * Puu O’Mahuka Helau * Sunset Beach Park * Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park * USS Arizona Memorial * Makapuu Lighthouse
Maui
This island is also called the Valley Isle. It is divided by remnants of two volcanoes and each side has its own unique attractions. Tourist spots include:
* Haleakala Volcano * Skyline Trail * Iao Valley * Maalaea * Olowafu
Kauai
Also known as the Garden Island, this island is home to beautiful mountains, waterfalls, and tropical rainforests. Tourist spots include:
* Kee Beach State Park * Kalalau Trail * NaPali Cliffs
Lanai
This island is the least developed of the Hawaiian Islands. Visiting this island offers the purest experience in Hawaiian culture. Tourist destinations include:
* Garden of the Gods * Shipwreck Beach * Luahiwa Petroglyph Field * Manale Bay Beach * Polihua Beach
Molokai Island
Molokai is also underdeveloped like Lanai. This island also offers traditional Hawaiian culture, least crowded beaches, waterfalls, and tropical rainforests.
* Kepuhi Beach * Papohaku Beach * One Alii Beach Park
There are so many places to visit in Hawaii. It is recommended that when you do visit the islands, you should have enough time to visit some or all of the islands in the group.
