Things to Do - When you think of Hawaii, most people think of the beach. That’s where I spend most of my time when I’m there as it’s not only free, but is also relaxing and fun! Go down to Hanauma Bay and go snorkeling, kick back on the sand of Waikiki beach and get a nice tan. If shopping is your thing, you can always find great deals on Hawaiian trinkets and souvenirs at the International Marketplace in Waikiki.

Where to Eat - If you’re looking for a great place to eat, you don’t have to go very far. Ask a local to point you in the direction of Rainbow Drive Inn or an L&L nearby so you can not only experience the land of Aloha, but the cuisine as well! Another idea is to buy some sandwiches and drinks and put together your own picnic to take with you to the beach. That’s one more romantic idea you can call your own!

Getting Around - Rent a moped scooter. These are a lot of fun and will get you everywhere you want to be for usually less than $20/day. The other alternative is Hawaii’s bus system. They have one of the most organized and easy to navigate bus routes in the country and are very tourist friendly.

When it comes down to it, it’s pretty simple. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to visit Hawaii, no matter what kind of budget you’re working with. If you get lost, just ask someone.
